Lintel Soup serves up cash to Glasgow community projects
Lintel Soup, an innovative new community fundraising initiative, recently raised an impressive £500 for Glasgow community groups Maryhill Integration Network and Possibilities.
The event, which took place in November, brought community organisations and businesses together for a lunchtime fundraising session. Attendees enjoyed a hearty bowl of soup whilst they heard pitches from local community projects.
Kate Christie, senior business development officer at Lintel Trust, said: “Thanks to everyone who attended and donated to Lintel Soup. Because of your generosity, two local projects received £250 each so they can continue their great work within the north of Glasgow.
“We’d also like to thank NG Homes for providing the venue free of charge and covering the catering bill on the day, and Link Group Ltd, which match funded the £250 raised.”
This year, Lintel Trust will have been providing support and grant funding for community projects across Scotland for 40 years. It is Scotland’s only grant-giving, fund management charity, find out more at the website.
