Long serving Bield staff members commended for service
Dedicated staff members have been honoured at Bield’s 2017 AGM for their service to the housing and care provider for Scotland’s older population.
Linda Lee who works as an asset management co-ordinator, in Bield’s Glasgow office was part of the group of colleagues that celebrated a combined total of 175 years of service with the charity.
As a thanks for her longstanding dedication to Bield, Linda was presented with a certificate and flowers in front of fellow colleagues, tenants and board members at this year’s AGM.
A delighted Linda said: “I’m very proud and happy to be receiving my award. I love working for Bield and have seen a lot of changes over the years.
“The most important part of change is ensuring our tenants’ needs are met. At Bield, we have amazing staff with strong values which makes our department feel like being part of a family.
“We pride ourselves on delivery and look to keep our properties and tenants equally safe.”
This year’s long service awards recognised the dedicated members of staff who have spent 15 or more years caring for and helping all of Bield’s tenants and residents across Scotland.
Susan Napier, chair of Bield, said: “Without the consistent and committed hard work of our staff at Bield, all we have managed to achieve as a leading housing and care provider over the past 46 years would not have been possible.
“It gives me great joy to be able to present these Long Service Awards to so many staff members who often to go above and beyond the call of duty to enrich the lives of the many hundreds of older people that they work with.
“Recognising their dedication to providing constant care at this year’s AGM is so important to us at Bield. Without our team of incredibly loyal staff, we would struggle to provide the consistent level of service that we do.”
Every Bield employee is dedicated to providing a high quality service which will enhance and enrich the lives of older people in Scotland in line with Bield’s ‘Free to Be’ philosophy which lets people make their own choices about how they live their lives while being there to support them when they need it.
