Loreburn gives a ‘great big thank you’ to tenants
Loreburn Housing has again extended an end of year thank you to its tenants who have gone the extra mile for their neighbours and local community throughout the year.
The GREAT big thank you initiative gives a much-deserved thanks to Loreburn tenants who have contributed their time to help others.
Tenants receiving thanks were pleasantly surprised with a special visit and small gift from Loreburn to recognise their community spirit and efforts over the year.
Robert Kerr was one such tenant, nominated by the manager at his development in Dumfries.
Linda Dickie, Later Living development manager, explained the reasons for Robert’s nomination, commenting: “Robert’s selfless acts have made a difference to so many of his neighbours.
“From running errands to helping with technical problems, his generosity in assisting others has not gone unnoticed.
“I nominated Robert to receive a ‘GREAT Big Thank You’ to show him that what he does in and around the development is truly appreciated.”
Kirsteen McGinn, chief executive who wrote to Mr Kerr, added: “People like Robert do an incredible job volunteering their time to help others. This is our small way of appreciating all they do and their commendable community spirit.”
