Loreburn launches energy efficiency pilot

Loreburn Housing Association has launched a new pilot programme to improve energy efficiency across some of the poorest-performing homes in its housing stock.

Delivered in collaboration with Clyde Net Zero and City Energy Network, the programme will introduce insulation upgrades, air source heat pumps, and solar panels to enhance home energy performance and reduce carbon emissions.

Set to commence later this month, this initiative is part of Loreburn’s commitment to supporting the Scottish Government’s net zero ambitions while also delivering tangible benefits for tenants. The improvements are expected to enhance home comfort and contribute to lower energy costs, providing much-needed relief to households facing rising utility bills.

“This pilot marks an important step in our efforts to create energy-efficient, sustainable homes for our tenants,” said Kirsteen, CEO at Loreburn Housing. “By prioritising the homes that need it most, we can make a real difference in both energy efficiency and affordability.”

Pending a successful pilot, Loreburn Housing anticipates rolling out additional energy efficiency measures over the next two years, further reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and tenant wellbeing.
