Lovell unveils new MD and senior leadership team for Scotland
Partnership housing developer Lovell has appointed Stephen Profili as regional managing director in Scotland to oversee the firm’s continuing expansion drive across the country.
With an industry career spanning more than 23 years, Stephen brings extensive cross-disciplinary expertise and experience of delivering and leading complex residential development projects.
He joins Lovell following a 16-year career as a director with CALA Homes.
Stephen said: “Lovell is a highly successful business with an impressive record of delivering quality new-build housing and housing regeneration developments for our Scottish partners and clients.
“I’m delighted to be joining the company as it enters an exciting new phase of planned growth and committed to making the most of the great opportunities coming through. Our team’s wide-ranging expertise, combined with the company’s strong financial position as part of leading construction and regeneration business Morgan Sindall Group means we are particularly well placed to deliver the new homes the country so badly needs, and help the Scottish Government meet its target of providing 50,000 new affordable homes by 2021.”
In his role with Lovell, Stephen is supported by a newly appointed Scottish regional leadership team who will work with him to drive the company’s continuing expansion.
Adam Forrest has been promoted from regional operations manager to regional operations director, responsible for the operational delivery of all design and build homes, open market sale homes and contracting work. Sarah Freel is promoted from business development manager to her new position of regional partnerships director for Scotland.
Scott Mercer, previously commercial manager for the region, has been appointed as regional commercial director, responsible for the commercial, financial and legal aspects of the business in Scotland.
Helen Dow has also joined the senior management team as regional sales director for Scotland, promoted from her previous role as sales manager for Lovell in the region.
Lovell managing director, Jonathan Goring, said: “I’m thrilled to have secured someone of Stephen’s calibre and with such an outstanding industry track record, to head up our Scottish operations. His appointment, together with the establishment of our new regional leadership team, puts us in a fantastic position to deliver our planned growth strategy in Scotland, while maintaining our core commitment to provide comprehensive new-build housing, housing regeneration and refurbishment services of the highest quality.”
Based in Baillieston, Glasgow and with more than 100 employees, Lovell’s Scottish business built 277 open market and affordable homes in 2016.
