Lower density alternative proposed for Maryhill flats

A developer has returned with another bid to deliver a slimline block of flats in North Kelvinside.
HJV Consultants has again enlisted Elder & Cannon Architects to now propose a six-storey building with seven apartments for land formerly occupied by a church hall on Kelbourne Street.
A previous application for a seven-storey block with 10 flats was refused permission last year due to overdevelopment concerns.
That development would have had a density of 425.5 dwellings per hectare, much higher than allowed for under planning policy.
