Lowri Richards becomes chief executive of Lochalsh and Skye HA
Lochalsh and Skye Housing Association has appointed Lowri Richards as its new chief executive.
Following its recruitment process, the panel reached a decision to appoint Ms Richards to the post. Throughout the process she demonstrated that she possessed the necessary skills, abilities, and qualities to ensure the association continues to provide high quality services to all stakeholders.
Ms Richards has worked in a range of roles in the housing sector. Most recently her passion for supporting and empowering tenants saw her accepting the role of tenant engagement & support manager with LSHA and relocating to Skye.
She said: “It is a privilege to have this opportunity to make a positive impact on housing across Skye and Lochalsh. The sector faces a lot of challenges but there are also great opportunities in the years ahead.
“I am very much looking forward to collaborating with the board and staff; to listen to communities, meet local needs and improve outcomes for tenants.”
Ian Young, chair of the board, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lowri as our new chief executive. Lowri demonstrated throughout the recruitment process that she has all the skills and abilities for this post.
“The board are looking forward to working with Lowri in this new role to take the association forward and to continue to provide high quality homes and services for our tenants.”
