ECHC carries out vital work to help seriously ill babies, children and young people in hospital by supporting their medical care, mental health and the family’s wellbeing. The Rainbow Box project aims to relieve some of the pressures families feel when nursing a seriously ill child, by encouraging interaction and distraction during the most difficult times.

The donation will cover the cost of a year’s supply of Rainbow Boxes, which will provide calm and comfort to 100 families.

The Rainbow Box project helps families within the Edinburgh community, providing a little bit of light in the darkest of times. We’re extremely grateful to Mactaggart & Mickel for the generous donation and allowing us to continue our vital work helping children, young people and their families from the moment they begin their hospital journey.”
