Manor Estates extends gas servicing partnership
Manor Estates Housing Association has announced the continuation of its partnership with Lothian Gas to maintain, service and upgrade as required, gas central heating systems in its tenants’ homes for the next five years.
Procured via Public Contracts Scotland and facilitated by Craig Somerville of Assured Management Group, the new contract will ensure continuity of a high quality service, and Lothian Gas committing itself to help tenants better understand and use their heating systems.
Graeme Russell, CEO of Manor Estates, said: “After and very thorough and independent assessment process Lothian Gas, with whom the Association had previously worked, were successful in winning this contract. We were impressed with their knowledge, commitment and understanding of the wider issues effecting tenants. This is a partnership which can greatly benefit the association, as it seeks to minimise fuel poverty amongst our tenants while ensuring our gas appliances are maintained to the highest possible standards.”
Craig Somerville, Assured Management Group, said: “It was a privilege to follow on from previous Procurement Exercises with Manor Estates, the assistance in their providing of information was timely and useful, the tender document was, in turn, tailored to meet both their specific requirements as well as current legislation. The tender process was robust and complete, ensuring that safety, quality and costs were evaluated; we fully expect Lothian Gas Ltd to be able to apply a seamless transition from their previous contract conditions into this current contract.”
Steven Buckler, Lothian Gas, added: “We are delighted to have retained the Manor Estates Gas Servicing Contract. It is our aim to maintain and continue to improve the service provided to Manor Estates and their tenants.
“We look forward to the next five years working for and along with Manor Estates to ensure the highest standards of service are maintained and provided to their tenants.”
