Margaret Hogg retires from Waverley Housing
After more than 30 years of outstanding service with Waverley Housing, Margaret Hogg has decided to ‘terminate her tenancy’ with Waverley Housing and take early retirement.
Starting in the old offices at Round Close in Hawick in April 1989, Ms Hogg joined the company at its inception and has been ever present, from the early growing pains helping to mould the company into the business it is today.
A graduate of Heriot-Watt University, Margaret has been a colleague, mentor, manager and friend to countless members of staff and tenants during that time.
Having filled nearly every role during those 31 years, from managing the housing services team to now leading the company’s business support service, Ms Hogg’s skills, knowledge, experience and attention to detail, will be tough to replace.
A spokesperson for Waverley Housing said: “Margaret leaves us at the strangest of times and whilst physical distancing, means we are unable to give Margaret the send off we would like, colleagues past and present wish her and husband John, who is also retiring, our fondest best wishes.”
