Red-dy to fundraise….some of the staff at Maryhill who took part in Red Nose Day
Comic Relief has now raised over £1 billion in its 30 year history – money which has gone a long way to helping others in Britain and around the world.Staff were encouraged to wear red to work in keeping with Red Nose Day’s signature colour on Friday, invited to take part in a raffle and paid to buy a slice of a specially-created red nose day cake.
Maryhill Housing Association has a long tradition of getting involved with Comic Relief. Two years ago on the last Red Nose Day it organised a “Mad Hatters Tea party” with a red theme, of course.
One of the organisers Lilian McPake said: “It was great fun and the staff as usual threw themselves into the fundraising. We’re delighted with how much was raised.”
