Melville pitches in to help out Cherokees
Melville Housing Association has continued its support of the Arniston Rangers Cherokees, the under-eights team of Arniston Rangers Youth Football Club (ARYFC).
The Midlothian landlord has given £500 to the Gorebridge-based club, allowing them to buy new equipment, including new strips, which will be shared across all eight of the club’s teams.
“On behalf of everyone at the club I’d like to thank Melville Housing for their very kind donation,” said Andrew Cranston, chairperson of ARYFC. “We would not be where we are today without support from the local community and at this stage in our development, with plans for a new training pitch, every penny counts. With the support of companies like Melville, I have every confidence that we’ll reach our goal.”
Melville has been involved with the Cherokees since shortly after they were formed in 2008 and in 2009 provided sponsorship money allowing the club to buy its first strips.
“We are delighted to be able to help the Cherokees out with this donation,” said Melville’s Stacey McNealis. “Andrew and his coaching team do a fantastic job and the club has come on leaps and bounds over the past few years, with impressive plans for the future. Keep up the good work everyone!”
