Midlothian consults on Local Housing Strategy.

Midlothian Council is seeking views on its draft Local Housing Strategy to cover the period 2026/27 to 2030/31.

The five-year strategic document sets out the council’s plans to improve housing and housing-related services in the area for all occupancy types, not only council tenants.

Cllr Stuart McKenzie, cabinet member for housing, said: “Local residents’ feedback will ensure that our Local Housing Strategy is responsive to the issues that matter most to our residents. Therefore, I would encourage everyone to share their views during this consultation period.”

Feedback will be added to the draft document, which will be presented to councillors in Autumn 2025.

The survey closes on 25 April 2025.
