Moray Council has approved a comprehensive plan to address feedback from a major survey of council house tenants.
The Tenant Survey Improvement Plan was formally approved at a meeting of the local authority’s Housing and Community Safety Committee.
It’s been developed in response to the 2024 Tenant Satisfaction Survey, in which more than 1,500 Moray Council house tenants shared views on a range of subjects affecting their homes and tenancies.
While many of the issues highlighted by tenants have already been addressed, the plan outlines remaining steps to be taken including the introduction of a digital self-service tool to allow tenants to book repairs; and ongoing measures, such as upgrades to kitchens and windows.
Chair of Moray Council’s Housing and Community Safety Committee, Cllr Amber Dunbar, said: “Feedback from tenants is extremely useful for our housing team, and the Tenant Survey Improvement Plan is a direct response to the issues they raise.
“The Tenant Satisfaction survey revealed that overall satisfaction among tenants was above the Scottish average and I congratulate the housing team for that. The plan looks to make sure this continues and that residents in Moray Council housing experience a high standard of service.”
