Moray Council invites feedback on Tenant Participation Strategy
Moray Council’s housing tenants are being asked for their views on a draft Tenant Participation Strategy.
The draft document, shaped by input from Moray Tenant Forum and some tenants, was approved this week for public consultation by the council’s Housing and Community Safety Committee, on 21 November 2023.
The strategy’s aims include broadening the opportunities to encourage and support more tenants to work in partnership with their landlord to improve services.
The consultation documents are here on Moray Council’s website until Friday 16 February 2024.
Hard copies are available at Moray Council’s Annex Building on Elgin High Street. Responses can be emailed to tenantparticipation@moray.gov.uk or posted to Housing and Property, Moray Council, PO Box 6760, Elgin, IV30 1BX.
Chair of the council’s Housing and Community Safety Committee, Councillor Amber Dunbar, said: “Our Tenant participation Strategy is a direct way for social housing tenants to influence the development of future housing policy. It’s vital that we make it as straightforward as possible for tenants to engage with us and I would encourage our tenants to take part in this consultation process to make sure their voice is heard.”
