The building, known as Dalian House, has lain vacant and on the market since 2010. Along with comprehensive internal alterations, the proposals include the refurbishment of all exterior elevations, new glazing and extensive landscaping to the front and rear of the building.

The development, adjacent to the M8 motorway at St Vincent Street, is ideally located for residents to enjoy the benefit of a short walk east into the city centre and the renowned leisure facilities in the Finnieston area and west end only a short walk in the other direction.

“Within the context of COVID-19, we considered it vital that this design can be viewed as addressing some of the issues that will be important in the foreseeable future: bringing people back to live in the city centre; adding to the 24 hour city centre culture and economy and providing opportunities through shared communal facilities for home and co-working in addition to break out and leisure facilities in a safe, managed building.”

Working with LDA Design, the development will see Mosaic provide new urban landscaping both to the St Vincent Street frontage and the former car park to the rear, patio, play and garden areas for relaxation together with a shared greenhouse where residents can grow their own herbs and vegetables.
