MSPs back Wheatley customer services campaign
A staff campaign by Wheatley Group aimed at taking its award-winning customer services to the next level has been supported by shadow cabinet secretary Ken Macintosh MSP.
W.E Excel encourages staff in every part of the Group to come together to share ideas and find new ways to deliver excellence in everything they do. The campaign was recently launched by cabinet secretary Alex Neil MSP.
Wheatley Group employs 2300 staff across four registered social landlords – GHA, Cube, West Lothian Housing Partnership and Loretto Housing – plus Loretto Care and two commercial subsidiaries, YourPlace Property Management and Lowther Homes.
Mr Macintosh and Michael McMahon MSP, shadow minister for housing and welfare, gave their backing to the campaign during a tour of Wheatley House and the Group’s Academy and Conference Centre in Glasgow’s Merchant City.
Speaking to staff during his visit, the shadow cabinet secretary for social justice, communities and pensioners’ rights said he is backing Wheatley’s drive to do even more for its customers and communities.
Mr Macintosh said: “It was a great opportunity to congratulate the organisation on their new staff excellence campaign.
“I met with several young apprentices who were impressive ambassadors for Wheatley Group and their positive approach to staff and customers. I look forward to continuing to work with Wheatley in the coming weeks and months.”
