Musselburgh woman evicted from council tenancy
East Lothian Council has evicted a tenant as a result of persistent anti-social behaviour at her property in Beach Lane, Musselburgh.
Sharon Fairgrieve (36) received an ASBO in 2013 following an application by the council. The court was presented with details of the alleged anti-social behaviour of Ms Fairgrieve which included shouting, swearing, fighting and playing loud music.
Unfortunately, despite the ASBO and continued warnings about her behaviour, Ms Fairgrieve continued to act in an antisocial manner causing considerable distress to her neighbours and others within her community.
A council spokesperson said: “The council’s tenancy agreement clearly outlines that tenants have a responsibility to look after their property and to behave in an acceptable manner within the community. The behaviour of Ms Fairgrieve resulted in many complaints of disturbance and excessive noise which caused upset and alarm to others.”
