Neil Clapperton leaves Lochalsh & Skye Housing Association
Neil Clapperton is to step down as chief executive of Lochalsh & Skye Housing Association following discussions with the board.
A statement issued by the Association said it has been “mutually agreed that it is the appropriate time for Neil to move onto new opportunities”.
Neil left his employment with Lochalsh & Skye on February 29th.
The Association stated: “The board wishes Neil all the best for his future and thanks him for his hard work and his support for Lochalsh & Skye Housing Association during his time as chief executive.”
To assist the board and the staff through the transition period before the appointment of a permanent chief executive, the board has appointed Alastair MacGregor as the interim chief executive. Alastair will be in post from March 6th.
Lochalsh & Skye added: “Alastair has worked in the community-based housing sector since 1986. he started his housing career with Linthouse Housing Association in Glasgow moving to Queens Cross Housing Association in the same city where he was chief executive for 15 years. He moved to take up the chief executive role with Argyll Community Housing Association in 2005, where he remained until 2022.
“During his housing career, Alastair served on the boards of a number of housing bodies including Glasgow Housing Association and the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations. Alastair lives in Glencruitten, near Oban in Argyll, where he is a crofter.”
