Network Rail gets permission in principle for Yorkhill apartment block

A railway yard in the Yorkhill area of Glasgow can be developed for apartments, planners have agreed.

Network Rail applied to the local authority for planning permission in principle for an apartment development at the corner of Kelvinhaugh Street and Sandyford Street.

Indicative plans for the site

Indicative proposals show there would be a nine-story block containing a total of 43 apartments.

There would also be a roof deck amenity space and gardens.

Detailed designs will now need to be submitted for full approval.
