New Board members elected at Kingdom
Kingdom Housing Association has elected five new Board members.
Graeme Mackay, Charles Oliver, David Redpath, Stephen Swan and Carol Watson were elected at the Association’s Annual General Meeting last week.
Kingdom chairperson Freya Lees welcomed the new Board members noting that they brought a wide range of new skills, experience and knowledge, which would be very beneficial to the Board of management.
Two of Kingdom’s Board members, Tom Condie and Gordon Campbell, stepped down at the AGM.
Tom Condie joined the Kingdom Housing Association Board of Management in 2001 and served until 2006, at which time he had a short break due to other commitments and was then re-elected at the AGM in 2008 and served continually since then. Tom has been actively involved during his time with Kingdom, chairing the policy sub committee and more recently as a Board member of Kingdom’s subsidiary company, Kingdom Support and Care (KSC).
Freya thanked Tom for his many years on the Board: “We are pleased that Tom has indicated a willingness to remain on the Board of KSC where Tom’s real passion for helping people can thrive.”
Gordon Campbell joined Kingdom’s Board of management in 2013. He has been a member of the audit and corporate governance sub committee for many years and took on the role of its chair two years ago.
Freya added: “The Board will not only miss Gordon’s invaluable finance experience, they will also miss his humour and friendly personality.”
Kingdom made charitably donations to Mary’s Meals on behalf of Tom and to the Lintel Trust on behalf of Gordon, his charity of choice, as a thank you for their hard work and dedication to Kingdom.
