New Board members welcomed at Cairn and ANCHO
Cairn Housing Association and ANCHO in North Ayrshire have welcomed further strengthening of their respective Boards with new appointments during recent AGMs.
John Clark, Lizzie Crawford and Nigel Chapman appointed by Cairn at its AGM earlier in September as part of its succession planning.
Chief executive Jason MacGilp said: “We are delighted to welcome John Clark, Lizzie Crawford and Nigel Chapman to the Board and we’re excited about the expertise they will bring to Cairn’s governance which includes expertise in finance and banking, property, project management and regulation.
“Cairn continues to give high priority to skills and experience on our Board that will equip the new Cairn Group, alongside our new partners at ANCHO, to meet the challenges of providing great homes and services to our tenants throughout Scotland, and the long term interests and resilience of the organisation.”
ANCHO also appointed new members Jane Valentine, Zoe Brawn, Sian Hughes and Clare Platts.
Newly appointed ANCHO chair, Sonya Campbell-Perry, said: “At an important time for ANCHO as we move into the Cairn Group, it is great news that we have attracted such good additional expertise and skills for the board. Our sincere thanks also go to Jackie Browne who has stepped down from the chairperson role after so many years of service.”
At Cairn’s AGM, Simon Guest, Cairn’s chairperson, thanked members Greg Colgan, Moira Mackenzie and John Woods who stood down after a combined 15 years of service to the Association.
“Greg, Moira and John have overseen a period of continuous improvement in Cairn and made a great contribution to the development of our services and governance structure. We’re very grateful for the qualities they brought to our team and thank them for their time at Cairn,” he added.
