New chief executive appointed at Shettleston
Shettleston Housing Association has appointed current Rural Stirling Housing Association director Tony Teasdale as its new chief executive.
Tony was Shettleston’s housing manager from 1989 to 1995 and following his departure from the Association he worked for housing associations in Glasgow and as a performance auditor for the then regulator, Scottish Homes. He has been at Rural Stirling since 2002.
Welcoming his appointment, Shettleston’s chair, Gillian Johnston, said: “The Association is pleased that Tony Teasdale has accepted our offer to become our new chief executive. We look forward to him leading the staff team and working with the Management Committee in taking on both the opportunities and challenges ahead.”
Shettleston’s outgoing director, Chris Cunningham, added: “I’m delighted that Tony will be joining Shettleston as its new chief executive. As a former housing manager at the Association we were already aware of his experience and skills and his subsequent work, particularly with the Regulator and as the director at Rural Stirling, means that he is well qualified to take Shettleston forward into a new era.”
Tony will start with the Association on October 30.
