New committee members elected at Milnbank AGM
Milnbank Housing Association held its AGM last week during which four new committee members were elected by the 113 members in attendance.
The Association’s auditor presented the annual accounts to the meeting and confirmed the Association’s strong financial position and advised members the financial statements were unqualified.
The Chairman’s Report highlighted Milnbank’s strong performance against other social housing providers within the Scottish Housing Regulator’s Landlord Report.
In addition, Milnbank’s chairman, Allan Scott, commented on the recently commissioned independent and comprehensive review of Regulatory Standards covering Governance and Financial Management and informed the AGM this found Milnbank was compliant with all of these.
The meeting also heard from Inspector Kinvig of Police Scotland about the innovative initiative between Milnbank and the Police. The AGM concluded by the chair expressing the management committee’s appreciation for the support and assistance Milnbank receives from members and the local community in general.
On the same day as the AGM, local residents helped raise £520 for MacMillan Cancer Support.
