New council homes planned on former Larbert school site
Falkirk Council has submitted plans to deliver 24 new flats for social rent on the site of the former Torwood Primary School in Larbert.
Intended to serve as a southern ‘gateway’ into the village, the development will include four blocks of terraced accommodation set in a courtyard style.
In a statement the council wrote: “Although the scheme is designed to focus on the internal streets, the properties along the Stirling Road have been carefully designed to have an appearance of dual frontage. These properties have lower boundary treatments using high quality Anstone walling approx. 1.5m high and have the same rear doors as the main entrance doors.”
