New DJ Alexander office to serve Glasgow’s growing demand
DJ Alexander Ltd has expanded its presence in Glasgow with a new office in Shawlands.
Located at 313 Kilmarnock Road, the office employs 14 people and underscores the firm’s confidence in the city’s sales and lettings property market.
Catherine Bruce, DJ Alexanders sales and lettings director in Glasgow, explained: “This new office will house our portfolio team and the sales and lettings new business team, further enhancing the company’s ability to deliver comprehensive property services across Glasgow.
“In particular we feel that this is an area which appeals to renters so provides great potential for existing and prospective landlords to invest. We already manage over 3,000 letting properties in the city so we see this as an area offering considerable growth opportunities.
“Our in-depth knowledge of the local market, built through years of experience, positions us to continue providing unparalleled service to our clients. The key advantage of having a high street presence is providing an accessible location for our existing and prospective clients to come in, sit down, and have a face-to-face conversation about either a specific property or their general needs as a buyer, investor, or renter.
“Nowadays, clients are too often dealing with a call centre, and we believe that having the facility to speak to our experienced members of staff in the flesh helps us to provide that excellent level of customer service for which we are known.”
Ms Bruce continued: “This area is an ideal fit for our firm. Shawlands is one of seven places in Scotland – and one of 72 across the UK – that was featured in The Sunday Times Best Places to Live 2023 guide.
“The area attracts a diverse range of residents, drawn by its vibrant selection of independent shops, cafés, ample green spaces, and the distinctive character of its traditional sandstone tenement flats.”
David Alexander, CEO of DJ Alexander Scotland Ltd, said: “We are delighted to be opening a new office in Glasgow to provide expert sales and lettings advice in Shawlands.
“The new office builds on the success of the firm’s Byres Road premises which opened in January 2023. We believe that Glasgow, like the rest of Scotland, has enormous demand for homes in the private rented sector and this new office will be able to help landlords, property investors, and tenants in this market.”
Ms Bruce added: “Glasgow provides good quality accommodation at an affordable price, attracting a broad range of people including first time buyers, home movers, and buy-to-let investors seeking strong rental yields.
“The lettings sector in Glasgow has been booming over the last year with demand far outstripping supply. We regularly receive thousands of viewing requests for properties through our online booking service, and we have waiting lists for all sizes of properties.
“Average rents continue to rise in the city, and we don’t have enough properties coming on the market to meet tenants’ demand. In such a competitive market we can provide decades of expertise in property management to help landlords and tenants with their properties.”
