New Exemplar Sustainable Buildings Awards opens for entries

Celebrating the UK’s most outstanding high-performance, low-carbon buildings, products, and initiatives, the new Exemplar Sustainable Buildings Awards are now open and free to enter.
Developed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Sustainable Development Foundation (SDF), the awards are delivered in partnership between the Passivhaus Trust (PHT), Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP), and SDF.
The awards will culminate in a celebratory event on 24 June 2025 in London to mark the SDF’s 20th anniversary.
The Exemplar Sustainable Buildings Awards are looking for exceptional UK projects, products, and initiatives that exemplify: measured operational and embodied carbon performance; real impact on occupants and society; and alignment with the SDF’s 10 High-Performance Sustainable Building Metrics.
Award categories include:
- Large new build projects
- Small new build projects
- Retrofit projects
- Products
- Initiatives
The Phase 1 submission deadline for award applications is 22 April 2025.
