New fully-funded Passivhaus support for social housing providers

New fully-funded Passivhaus support for social housing providers

The Passivhaus Trust is now offering targeted support for social housing providers through a series of interactive online Client Club sessions to help accelerate the delivery of new developments.

New data from the Trust reveals that over 1500 Passivhaus certified homes have been delivered by social housing providers in the UK, with thousands more in the pipeline.

Scotland has seen a surge in Passivhaus-certified social housing projects, and the Scottish Government is currently developing its Scottish Passivhaus equivalent policy for new build housing. Overall it is estimated that 1% of new UK housing projects are aiming for the Passivhaus standard.

Designed to guide the current and next wave of social housing clients through their Passivhaus decision-making journey, the Client Clubs aim to overcome challenges, optimise designs and costs, and help deliver large-scale Passivhaus programmes.

Each online Client Club meet-up will offer tailored support to social housing clients, and there will be a separate Scotland-focused breakout room within each session. These events will offer a safe space for client discussion and a chance to share best practice and learn from others who have been through the process, as well as accessing support from Passivhaus Trust expert Client Advisors.

Fully-funded places in the Passivhaus Client Clubs are available exclusively for social housing providers. Spaces are limited, and the first Passivhaus Client Club session will take place in May.
