New homes approved near Carnoustie Championship golf course
New homes near Carnoustie’s famous Championship links have been given the go-ahead by Angus planners.
The 14-house development will be built on a former lorry park in Victoria Street by DJ Laing.
A mix of detached and semi-detached two to four-bedroom properties will be delivered on the site as well as four affordable homes.
Awarding delegated approval to the application, Angus planners said the proposal was broadly compliant with the council’s local plan for redevelopment of the area.
Managing director of DJ Laing Homes, Karen Nicoll, told Scottish Housing News: “We are delighted to return to the Carnoustie area after a five-year absence. Our new development will be of a high quality complimenting the new housing stock in Carnoustie and assisting the further regeneration of this area.”
