New homes for Caledonia under construction at Milnathort
Caledonia Housing Association has begun constructing ten new homes for social rent in Milnathort, as part of a larger development of private housing by Dundas Estates which are already on the market.
The social housing will consist of six terraced houses and four cottage flats, each accommodating between two and four people.
Courtyard parking will be laid out to the rear of the houses.
Located on the northern outskirts of Milnathort, the Pace Hill development is within easy walking distance of the town centre with a good supply of shops, cafes, hotels and buses.
Andrew Kilpatrick, development director at Caledonia Housing Association, said: “Construction is going well and we expected to complete the ten properties by March next year. Milnathort is ideally located with easy access to the M90, while offering a high quality of amenities in a tranquil setting close to Loch Leven. Homes for social rent are in high demand in the area.”
A spokesperson for Dundas Estates said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Caledonia Housing Association to deliver this much needed social housing and look forward to completing and handing over the properties in the Spring. We have been impressed with the Association’s collaborative approach and hope to work together on future opportunities.”
