New partnership to address urgent need for evidence based leadership in homelessness sector
Clore Social Leadership and the Centre for Homelessness Impact have announced details of a new partnership in response to the increasing crisis in housing and homelessness and the need for stronger, evidence based approach to leadership within the sector.
Supported with funding from the National Housing Federation, Health Foundation and the Oak Foundation, this new partnership will see sixteen dynamic leaders working within housing, homelessness and health organisations across the UK benefit from intensive leadership training and development. The programme will build a community of third sector leaders committed to driving large-scale systemic reform within the sector.
Shaks Ghosh, chief executive of Clore Social Leadership, said: “We are delighted to announce our new partnership with the Centre for Homelessness Impact that will support a pipeline of sector leaders who are able to deploy strong leadership that mobilises evidence of what works to accelerate efforts towards a future without homelessness. As the sector continues to develop its strategy to tackle this growing crisis, the need for strong and sustained leadership that can respond, engage and represent those affected by homelessness is greater than ever.”
Ligia Teixeira, director of the Centre for Homelessness Impact, welcomed the new partnership: “Every day, these dynamic professionals, and the organisations they work in are using evidence to improve the lives of people experiencing homelessness, open opportunities and tackle one of society’s most pressing challenges.
“The programme will support leaders in these fields to harness their collective experiences, insights and support them to advance evidence-based solutions to achieve even better results in the important work they do in cities across the country. We are delighted to have these leaders join the programme.”
