New senior hires for Social Investment Scotland
Finance provider Social Investment Scotland (SIS) has appointed two new investment managers, as it continues to grow its investments in charities and social enterprises.
Theresa Sharp joins SIS following ten successful years in business banking, most recently with Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) as a commercial relationship manager where she managed a portfolio of over 200 customers. Prior to LBG, Theresa held roles with HSBC and RBS.
Brian Henderson also joins the investment management team, having spent 30 years in the banking sector. He joins from RBS where he was a relationship director for SMEs in the East of Scotland and a business mentor for start-up organisations.
In their new roles at SIS, Theresa and Brian will be supporting and advising the organisation’s growing portfolio of charities and social enterprises, enabling them to increase their financial sustainability and social impact in communities across Scotland.
Commenting on the new appointments, chief executive of Social Investment Scotland, Alastair Davis, said: “We at SIS are all excited to welcome Theresa and Brian to the team. Both of them have a wealth of experience in the banking sector and are skilled at nurturing organisations to realise and reach their full potential. We look forward to working with them and benefiting from their expertise as we look to continue building our offering for Scotland’s growing social enterprise and profit with purpose sectors.”
The appointments come at key time for SIS following the recent appointment of Ken Barclay as vice-chair.
