New UK chief executive appointed at HouseMark
Insight, data analytics and business development services provider HouseMark welcomed its new chief executive Laurice Ponting yesterday.
Laurice joins HouseMark from housing association Genesis where she held the position of executive director of communities, responsible for a large team of around 1,000 people, delivering housing and care services to over 100,000 people.
She brings a wealth of social housing experience to the role at HouseMark, having previously worked in a number of executive leadership and strategic roles within the sector.
Laurice takes over from HouseMark founder Ross Fraser following his retirement after 16 years in post.
HouseMark said Laurice’s appointment reinforces its commitment to the sector as she not only brings with her significant strategic experience, but also a breadth of knowledge and understanding of the current and future operating environment in which housing organisations operate.
Laurice said: “I am passionate about the housing sector and the positive contribution it makes to delivering housing, health and support services to create sustainable communities. I have been privileged to work in some great organisations within my career and the move to HouseMark allows me to build upon the existing range of excellent executive insight products, tools and services which support strategic decision making, business development and innovation.
“This role enables me to focus my experience and knowledge of the sector to ensure HouseMark not only continues to provide relevant, added-value services for customers, but is positioned to deliver agile, innovative solutions that support sector leaders to explore opportunities, access insight and identify the tangible outcomes they need in this ever-changing environment.”
