New Wheatley initiative to help people make money go further
Wheatley Group has launched a new scheme to help its customers make their money go further.
MySavings is a new way that the organisation is lending a hand to customers to cut the cost of their weekly shop.
It gives customers from across Wheatley the opportunity to save money through a huge range of deals and discounts on their shopping, including food shopping and clothes, as well as treats like cinema tickets.
People can save up to 10% at more than 1,000 high street and online retailers and has already helped hundreds of people save money on their household costs.
GHA tenant Susan Rowan, 52, from Barmulloch said: “There are lots of ways you can make the most of the savings.
“You get a reloadable card for different shops and I load mine up when I get paid and use it at Asda for my weekly shop.
“I’ve used it for the discounts on holidays and at Asda and buying things like clothes at Primark. You can get 4% off your food shopping. Tesco do it too. It just makes your money go further.”
Wemimo Ogundiwin, from Knightswood, added: “With five kids, I am always looking for ways to save money.
“I’ve used it once – my daughter wanted an iPad for school. I didn’t think I could afford it, but I found a deal and got £45 off. That’s enough for a week’s food for us – it’s a really big saving.”
MySavings is provided by Rewards Gateway and customers can access it through their online self-service account.
Once in, they will be able to take advantage of all the offers provided through the Rewards Gateway scheme, which is currently widely used by Wheatley staff.
Wheatley Group’s money advice lead, Pauline Lyons, said: “We are always looking for new ways to help our customers meet the cost of running a home and MySavings does really help people save on the cost of the everyday things they need.
“There are lots of different offers each week and it is already helping our customers make big savings on everything from food and clothes to treats like cinema tickets.”
