Next phase of Dufftown housing plans revealed
A second drop-in event for Dufftown’s Hillside Farm Housing Masterplan will showcase progress on the design and site layout concept.
A successful exhibition in August 2023 introduced the project to locals, a phase of the Housing Mix Delivery project which is being funded by the Scottish Government and Moray Council via the Moray Growth Deal. Dufftown and District Community Association (DDCA) is also partnering to develop community-led affordable housing, which will form part of the wider masterplan.
The next drop-in sessions at the Royal British Legion on Wednesday 6 December between 3pm-7pm will display the progress made on design of the site and the concept of the layout and junction.
The Dufftown proposals are being developed by Collective Architecture with Narro and representatives from across the project will be on hand to answer questions.
Chair of Moray Council’s Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee, Councillor Marc Macrae, said: “Access was a topic discussed by many of the people who attended the first exhibition so this is a great opportunity to see what progress has been made on that front, and the wider site plans.
“I was pleased so many people attended the first drop-in session in August and I hope folk are as willing to take time to find out the next stage of the exciting housing plans for Dufftown.”
