North East tenants and landlords to host first ever house party
A partnership of North East social landlords is holding a house party event tomorrow to allow all residents in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to speak to a host of organisations about a range of housing related issues.
NETRALT (North East Tenants, Residents, Landlords Together), which includes Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council, Blackwood, Cairn Housing Association, Castlehill Housing Association, Grampian Housing Association, Langstane Housing Association, Moray Council and Sanctuary Scotland, organises events to share information and help the tenants and residents in the Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray area.
The free event, to be attended by housing minister Kevin Stewart, will also include Aberdeen Foyer, Aberdeen Parks Anti-social behaviour team, CFINE City Wardens Energy advisers, Financial Inclusion Team, Fire Safety Officers, Housing Officers, Police, SACRO Mediation, SHMU Radio, Silver City Surfers, SMART (Money Advice Project) Waste Aware and much more.
These organisations are there to promote their services and help the residents and tenants in the North East with any concerns they may have. Each social landlord will be there to discuss tenancy issues and talk about housing options available. Staff will also be available to talk about shared ownership and the Help to Buy scheme.
There will be light refreshments, plenty of freebies and competitions. There will also be a kid’s corner where kids can get free glitter tattoos and take part in competitions.
The house party is taking place on November 25 at Woodhill House in Aberdeen.
