North Lanarkshire Council launches third energy supplier switch campaign
‘It pays to switch’ is the message North Lanarkshire Council is promoting to residents as it launches its third energy supplier switch campaign.
Over 2,000 households have already saved an average of £271 per year without the need to contact energy suppliers or understand your tariff.
The campaign is open to all households, both private and rented across the authority and beyond, and takes only a few minutes to sign-up.
Katherine Hunter from Glenboig said: “I had heard of other people saving quite a bit of money through this scheme.
“I was a bit reluctant to start with as I have been with the same supplier for years, but this was really easy and I saved over £400. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.”
Switching supplier is free, quick and simple with no obligation to switch.
Des Murray, head of business with housing property, added: “Our scheme makes it quick and simple for everyone to save on their bills.
“We are encouraging as many people as possible to take part and save money.
“The savings some people have made during our previous campaigns were incredible, with some saving as much as £800 per year.”
Registration closes at midnight on Tuesday 17 May.
