North Lanarkshire hosts tenant conference on Saturday
North Lanarkshire Council’s annual tenant conference takes place this Saturday with the theme ‘NL Homes - Building Your Future’.
The conference, taking place from 9am to 12.45pm at Airdrie Academy, brings together tenants and residents, partner agencies and voluntary organisations who have the same shared interests.
Tenants from across North Lanarkshire are encouraged to become more involved in their housing service and to come along and play their part.
Participants can enjoy a packed programme of workshops, hear from a wide range of speakers and visit the popular market place. The focus for this year’s workshops, are: Estate Walkabouts; Antisocial Behaviour/Doorstep Crime; Energy Efficiency/Saltire; Rent Setting; Smarter Homes - Homes of the Future and Welfare Reform.
Councillor Barry McCulloch, convener, said: “Our tenant conference continues to be a successful event and becomes more and more popular every year.
“It gives people an opportunity to speak directly to staff delivering housing services and to hear about the changes and improvements we’ve made. This year’s workshops highlight the issues that matter most to our tenants and residents.
“I’m looking forward to another great turnout and would encourage any tenants who’ve not come along before to be part of this year’s event.”
