Nothing stolen after thieves break into housing development site
The site of a £6 million affordable housing project in Perth saw a break-in over the weekend, but nothing of value was taken.
Opportunistic thieves are thought to be behind the break-in at the old Caledonian Road primary school, the site of a Caledonia Housing Association project to build 49 affordable flats.
Inspector Nicola Russell of Police Scotland told the Perthshire Advertiser that all “items of any value” were removed from the building when work commenced earlier this year.
Work will move forward on the project, which Andrew Kilpatrick, asset management director at Caledonia Housing Association, said would provide “much needed affordable housing in the city centre”.
