Osprey set to provide housing boost for Moray
Osprey Housing Moray has predicted that the area is set to benefit from a development boom as part of its corporate plan over the next three years.
The affordable hosuing provider, which has properties in 11 different towns in the area already, is working with local developers Morlich Homes and Deveron Homes and has just taken on new developments in Buckie, Keith and Fochabers.
Les Allan, chairman of Osprey Housing Moray, said it is the next step in its new building programme.
He said: “We have ambitious plans for the Moray area and these three developments provide a mixed portfolio of different homes addressing varied needs.
“We are offering three town centre detached bungalows in Buckie, which are certainly going to be much sought after. We are also expecting high demand for the eight one bed flats in Keith and the 10 brand new homes close to the centre of Fochabers, which will be the first new development of its kind in the community this century.
“We are determined to help tackle and address housing needs in the area and are delighted to be continuing our longstanding relationships with local developers, Deveron Homes and Morlich Homes in bringing these new homes forward. We are also of course appreciative of the continuing support of both Moray Council and Scottish Government in all these projects”
A spokesman for Moray Council said: “We are pleased to be working in partnership with Osprey Homes to deliver much-needed affordable homes in Moray.”
These latest developments will bring Osprey Housing Moray’s total number of homes in Moray to over 500.
The first tenants will be able to move into their new homes by September in Buckie, November in Keith and Spring 2018 in Fochabers.
