Outer Hebrides housing needs and demand survey launched
A survey has been launched to ascertain the level of housing need and demand throughout the Outer Hebrides.
Every household in the Outer Hebrides will receive an invitation to take part in the independent survey, which is being carried out by Tighean Innse Gall (TIG) on behalf of Hebridean Housing Partnership (HHP).
An online survey is also available to allow anyone who wishes to move home to the Outer Hebrides or to relocate there to take part.
Partners in the Outer Hebrides Housing Needs and Demand Assessment (HNDA) have shared why the survey is so important to them in the video below:
The results of the survey will inform the long term strategic decisions taken by Hebridean Housing Partnership on the future of its existing homes and on investment in new housing in its communities.
Hebridean Housing Partnership said: “HHP wish to support communities and grow our rural populations, so the outcomes will also be shared with the Comhairle and our key partners to shape and inform the future plans for the islands. The survey will also look to identify people’s aspirations for where they want to live and the kind of housing they want.
“We are grateful to everyone who takes part in the survey”
A prize draw will take place with a top prize of a £100 Co-op voucher.
