Partick Housing Association plans to transform vacant office block at Anniesland Cross
Partick Housing Association (PHA) has submitted a planning application to transform a vacant office block on Great Western Road.
Working alongside MAST Architects, Glasgow City Council and other partners, PHA’s proposals include converting the upper floors of the four-storey office building at Anniesland Cross to provide 17 affordable new homes.
If approved, the properties will comprise 11 one-bedroom flats and six two-bedroom flats for social rent.
The office building has been empty for a number of years, in an area surrounded by existing commercial and residential properties.
Partick HA chief executive, Stewart MacKenzie, said: “At Partick Housing Association, we’re committed to a programme of providing more high quality and affordable homes which are much-needed within Glasgow’s West End. We’re delighted to be working with partners in Anniesland, bringing this building back to life and meeting local housing needs.”
