Partick Housing Association staff complete Glasgow Kiltwalk for charity
A group of Partick Housing Association employees have raised money for charity by walking thirteen miles from Clydebank to Balloch as part of the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2018.
The group, made up of eleven members of staff, called themselves Calum’s Cheeky Chicks in tribute to the charity they were raising money for; Calum’s Cabin.
Calum’s Cabin offers a holiday retreat on the Isle of Bute for children suffering from cancer. It is a space for children to come with their families, to spend quality time together and allow some respite.
The group are still collecting donations but the final figure raised is set to be in excess of £1,000. Partick Housing Association has pledged to match 10% of the total to support this worthwhile cause.
One staff member said: “It was such an enjoyable day with so many people involved and we are pleased to have raised so much for Calum’s Cabin. It was great to hear about all the worthy causes other groups were supporting too.”
Partick Housing Association extended its congratulations to everyone who took part on the day.
