Partnership to deliver 80 new homes in Edinburgh
Housebuilder Springfield Properties has entered a new partnership with Dunedin Canmore to deliver 80 new homes in Edinburgh over the next three years.
The family business has been working on the £20 million Muirhouse development in the Capital since 2013 and has already handed over 122 homes to a number housing associations.
Springfield Properties’ partnerships managing director, Tom Leggeat, said: “We’re proud to be working in partnership with Dunedin Canmore to deliver the final 80 homes of this £20m project.
“The Muirhouse development includes one bedroom cottage flats, an apartment block of one and two bedroom flats and a mix of two three bed terraced homes. The homes are built to highest sustainability standards so they are extremely energy efficient reducing heating bills for tenants.
“The addition of these new homes, bringing the total on site to 202, will bring construction jobs to the area as well as a good range of much-needed affordable homes.
“Muirhouse is an area that is under regeneration. We’re transforming a derelict site with modern housing, helping to address the demand for more housing in Scotland. And £25million of plans have recently been revealed to revitalise the shopping centre just around the corner from our development.
“Both of these projects will help support local employment and with our construction well underway, we expect to be handing over homes as early as March 2017.”
