Permission sought for new homes near Rosyth docks

New plans have been lodged to build 24 new homes in Rosyth.
Reiach & Hall Architects are seeking planning permission in principle on behalf of Capital & Provincial for the creation of the houses and flats at Castle Road.
The cleared land previously housed temporary accommodation pods for workers constructing new aircraft carriers at the nearby dockyard.
A planning statement said: “The proposed development will make a valuable contribution to the surrounding area through the reuse and enhancement of an unused, vacant brownfield site.”
The design proposal includes two and three bedroom houses and flats for a range of new family homes, bringing a total of 24 new units to the area. The mix of two- and three-storey semi-detached houses and flats is in keeping with the heights of the surrounding buildings in the local area.
