Perth development handed over to Caledonia Housing Association
Six new apartments, together with a renovation of an existing building to create an additional apartment, have been completed for Caledonia Housing Association at Crieff Road, Perth.
Webster Developments has handed over the £1.3 million development, which was the contracting company’s largest-ever contract win back in 2019.
The firm has worked for Caledonia before, in 2017, constructing five new build flats on what was an old garage lock up site at Wester Loan in Milnathort.
The Crieff Road project will see tenants move into their new homes in the next few weeks.
Daniel Webster from Kinross based Webster Developments said: “We’re delighted to complete another prestigious contract for Caledonia Housing Association, with whom we now have a solid working relationship. Private and public sector work in Perth & Kinross is where it all began for us, although, increasingly, we are working all over Scotland with contracts stretching as far as the Isle of Skye. We are keen to win more housing association work and believe that our solid track record in projects like this, where we had to take into account very challenging site conditions, will stand us in good stead.”
“For housing association work it is really important to deliver the properties to budget,” said Daniel. “The pandemic has caused considerable delay to our sector, but as soon as were able to commence working again we did so. I want to thank my committed team who have really gone the extra mile.”
“This contract was our biggest at the time of winning,” finished Daniel. “It was great news for the business and has enabled us to grow, taking on more tradesmen.”
“We hope to work with Caledonia Housing Association again in the future.”
