Plans approved for 49 new affordable homes in Livingston
West Lothian Council has approved Cruden Homes’ plans to build 49 new affordable flats at Sydney Street in Craigshill.
jmarchitects, the agents for Cruden Homes, stressed that the company aims to create new one and two-bedroom flats while being sensitive to the existing environment.
The development aims to promote the use of the readily accessible public transport links along Craigshill Road and incorporates cycle storage within the development.
An adequate allowance for parking spaces has been made to ensure that there is an appropriate level for the development, the West Lothian Courier reports.
The company stated: “The site is within an ideal area for housing due to its proximity to commercial facilities, schools, community facilities and open green spaces (primarily Almond Park).”
