Plans lodged for energy-efficient homes in Blairgowrie
Proposals have been lodged by Persimmon that would see 171 new homes built in Blairgowrie.
The housebuilder said the new Dunkeld Road development can deliver a variety of high-quality new homes and more than £1 million of community investment, if approved by Perth and Kinross Council later this year.
The planning application by Persimmon North Scotland includes a wide range of new homes – from two-bedrooms up to five-bedrooms – that incorporate a focus on energy efficiency and have been specifically designed to meet the needs of the local housing market.
Areas of open public space will be a feature of the development, while a detailed drainage plan is included in the proposals to address any local concerns about flooding in the area.
The investment in Blairgowrie would see Persimmon make a contribution in excess of £1m to support the local primary and secondary schools. It is also estimated that the development would create nearly 100 local jobs each year in the construction sector, with a further 70 in the local supply chain.
