Plans lodged for over 200 student flats in Aberdeen
Ardmuir has submitted plans to build a 202 bed capacity student housing scheme at the site of a bus depot in Aberdeen.
Designed by architects Cumming and Co, the development will be situated at the junction of King’s Crescent and St Peter Street.
The site is currently used as a car park for employees associated with the First Bus depot and lies on the edge of the Old Aberdeen conservation area, near the University of Aberdeen.
A total of 202 beds are proposed with flats forming three and four bed clusters, sharing a living room, kitchen and bathroom facilities. No parking spaces will be provided, except for disabled spaces and for staff.
Director of Ardmuir, Richard Thom, said: “People trust us to deliver a high quality project in this location. We have a strong track record in the development and operation of quality student accommodation particularly here in Aberdeen where we are based.
“We were delighted last year when the design of our student accommodation at 403 King Street was recognised by the Aberdeen Civic Society.”
