Re-submitted after extensive discussions with the council, the revised scheme of 20 new homes by Hayhill Developments will provide much needed affordable homes for the area.

The site was allocated to housing in the last local plan review and remained unbuilt during the recession.

The scheme comprises 10 two-bed and 10 three-bed units with construction expected to start later this year.

According to the architects, the proposals are respectful of the rural context using a mix of 2 storey and 1 ½ storey properties carefully organised to minimise the visual impact within the landscape.

The properties will be traditional in form with crisp detailing. A mix of smooth white render with high quality facing brick, brings visual interest to the properties and compliments the existing properties within the village.
